Anita Ansari
Session Synopsis: Constructing Near Power Lines – Thinking Beyond the Paperwork
Join Anita Ansari from BC Hydro as she discusses the assurance-in-writing process for construction work taking place near overhead energized high voltage equipment (also known as filling out the 30M33 form to work near power lines).
Anita will cover how the process is one part of safe work planning, what role BC Hydro has in supporting the process, and give examples where construction equipment has unexpectedly contacted overhead powerlines despite this process being followed. She’ll end by sharing information about free training resources that BC Hydro has for contractors on the topic of electrical safety hazard awareness.
